Brief biography of the speaker:


Rui Liu, is a Health Specialist of the World Bank Group Health Nutrition and Population Global Practices. Based in Beijing, he has worked on multiple World Bank, analytical and lending projects, including the recent Joint Health Reform Flagship Study: Deepening Health Reform In China, Building High-Quality and Value-Based Service Delivery, the Chongqing Urban Rural Integration II, Shanghai 2050, and the preparation for China Health Reform Program for Results (loan to support the health reform programs in Anhui and Fujian provinces) and China Aged Care Reform Program. Prior to this post, he has also worked at other academic institutions and international organizations, including Peking University Guanghua School of Management, the University of California at San Francisco, and the World Health Organization. He studied economics and Nankai University in China, and Health Services Research (Economics track), Epidemiology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and the University of California at Berkeley in the USA.
