Prof. Wu Jing, Deputy Secretary of SPST, led a delegation to attend the International Value-Based Healthcare Conference in Singapore and visit to the host institutions.

On August 21-23, 2024, the 2024 International Value-Based Healthcare Conference was held in Singapore. Prof. Wu Jing, vice secretary (in charge of party affairs) and vice president of SPST, and Dr. Xie Shitong, associate researcher in the Department of health and pharmacy administration, attended the conference as special guests. They also engaged in academic exchanges with top international universities and medical schools, including the National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS Medical School.


Prof. Wu Jing and Dr. Xie Shitong were also invited to attend the "From Evidence to Decision: Practices in Optimizing Health Technology Assessment and Pharmaceutical Economics Evaluation for Healthcare Decision-Making" academic symposium held at the National University of Singapore. Prof. Wu Jing and Dr. Fung Yen Jeremy Lim from the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, served as co-chairs of the conference and delivered opening remarks. Scholars from the UK, Singapore, and Australia introduced their respective countries' specific practices and experiences in supporting national healthcare decision-making through health technology assessment and economic evaluation. Dr. Xie Shitong, as the representative of China, introduced the significant achievements of China's dynamic adjustment of the national reimbursement drug list, as well as the important role played by economics evaluation in this process. After the presentations, scholars from various countries engaged in extensive exchanges and discussions on the conference theme. Finally, Prof. Wu Jing delivered a summary of the conference, systematically summarized the experiences of various countries in using pharmaceutical economics evaluation to support healthcare decision-making, and encouraged scholars from various countries to engage in more in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation.
