Brief biography of the speaker:

Dr. John Gilly is the former Senior Vice President for Leidos Biomedical Research Inc. and Program Director for the Vaccine Clinical Materials Program at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research,retiring in 2015. His expertise is in adult and pediatric vaccine development and targeted biopharmaceutical drug development. Prior to his work at the National Lab, as COO for Premier Research Group plc, he managed global clinical research operations in thirteen countries and also responsible individual for the NIH contract for Best Pharmaceuticals for Children’s Act Coordinating Center. He also held executive and management positions with BioReliance Corporation, ImClone Systems Inc. (subsidiary of Eli Lilly), and Connaught Laboratories (now Sanofi-Pasteur). He sits on the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics advisory board at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and issenior technical advisor for Jecho Biopharmaceuticals, Ltd. (US and China), a consultant for the medical expert office with ICON Global Public Health Services, an advisor to the Magnet Strategy Group (Toronto) and Distinguished Scientific Advisor to the Trudeau Institute (New York). Dr. Gilly received his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Lehigh University.
