Dean Jay Siegel got 2018 ACS Fellow Award for his outstanding contribution to the science/profession and ACS community.
Contribution to the science/profession: Recognized for seminal contributions to the fields of stereochemistry and aromatic chemistry, including the concepts of stereogenicity and chirotopicity and the chemistry of the important hydrocarbon known as corranulene.
Contribution to the ACS community: For advancing the mission of the ACS globally, including founding the ACS North China Chapter and the Tianjin Student Chapter of the ACS, as well as serving on multiple ACS advisory boards and committees.
