The ACS JingJinJi International Chemical Sciences Chapter was presented with theGlobal Engagement Award for International Chemical Sciences Chapters during the American Chemical Society's 2018 ChemLuminary Awards event held in Boston, USA on 21 August, 2018. This is the second year in a row for the Chapter to win such a competitive award.

The award was presented for the successful event where five prestigious Nobel Laureates shared their academic achievements at the Peiyang Nobel Symposium, and The International Symposium on Visionary Trends in Molecular Science organized by Tianjin University in strategic partnership with the journals Nature and Science, and sponsored by world-renowned journals and institutes including the ACS.
