Brief Introduction of Speaker
Dr. Jiaoyang Jiang, (Ph.D.-Chemistry), Assistant Professor of School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin–Madison. She received her B. Sc. in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brown University. Dr. Jiang received her postdoctoral training in Department of Microbiology and Immunobiology, Harvard Medical School. She was recruited to School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison as an assistant professor in 2013. Dr. Jiang’s research is in the Studying the molecular mechanism and biological function of protein glycosylation using chemical biology, enzymology, mass spectrometry, crystallization, cell biology, and high-throughput screening. She was involved in teaching five courses including Natural Product Synthesis, Biosynthesis, and Drug Discovery (Phmsci786), Medicinal Chemistry II (Phmsci532), Principles of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Phmsci780). She has published 15 research articles and 2 patents, and obtained various honors and awards including Young Chemical Biologist Award and First Prize Poster Award & Travel Award.
