At 9:00 on the 21st, the forum opened in the lecture hall on the second floor of science library. Director of Education Office in Graduate School Qi Wei, associate dean and vice secretary Zhang Ling, associate dean  Du Yunfei, associate dean Zhou Yan, vice secretary Chen Le and some professors of SPST attended the opening ceremony, which fully reflected the great importance of the university and the school to this academic forum. Meanwhile, we also invited professor Le Weidong of the University of Electronic Science and Technology and professor Liu Lin of Nankai University to give keynote speech at the opening ceremony. First of all, associate dean Zhang Ling made an opening speech and declared the opening of the doctoral forum. Later, professor Qi Wei also delivered a speech at the opening meeting. She affirmed and supported the scientific research progress of SPST in recent years and wished the doctoral forum a complete success.

Prof. Weidong Le and Prof. Lin Liu presented excellent academic reports entitled "Transcription factors related to dopamine neuron development and degeneration in Parkinson's disease" and "Function and regulation of telomeres in pluripotent stem cells" respectively. At the same time, the two teachers also gave answers to the questions raised by teachers and students, and the scene was very enthusiastic.

The opening ceremony was broadcast live online to ensure that professors and students of SPST who could not attend the forum in person due to the epidemic could watch it at the same time.

On the afternoon of 21st and the morning of 22nd, the doctoral students in the fields of medicinal chemistry, biology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutics, health and pharmaceutical administration gave academic special reports in three branch venues according to their directions. Every doctoral students presented and reported their research contents and work progress comprehensively in the form of oral reports in English, and answered questions from experts and professors on site, accepted suggestions and guidance from teachers.

At 13:00 on 22nd, The graduate students held the poster presentation on the second floor of building 24. Each student showed their research progress and academic achievements to the judges. The judges also communicated and discussed with students, and put forward instructive suggestions on the research, which benefited the students a lot.

The closing address was conducted at 16:00 on Oct. 22nd in Room 205, Building 24. Associate dean Zhang Ling, associate dean Du Yunfei, vice secretary Chen Le and associate professor Li Nan of SPST presented awards to 15 doctoral students and 35 master students respectively. At last, associate professor Benjamin Clark drew thirty-five lucky prizes and handed out beautiful gifts to students.

The doctoral forum is only two days long, but the participation of the doctoral students and graduate students have benefited a lot. Hope that we will be more aggressive in our study and life in the future and win a brilliant future.
