On March 29, the symposium on the high-quality development of “Health+” interdisciplinary studies and the inauguration ceremony of the Institute of Health Economics and Policy (HOPE), Tianjin University, were held at the University’s Weijin Road Campus.
The event brought together representatives from government agencies, universities, hospitals, research institutions, and the healthcare industry to discuss interdisciplinary innovation and the future development of health economics and policy research.
The Institute will provide strong support for healthcare reform, health economics research, and evidence-informed policy and medical decision-making. The Institute will focus on healthcare payment reform, health big data, pharmacoeconomic evaluation, and medical value assessment, with the goal of becoming a key contributor to health economics and policy research.
During the ceremony, Tianjin University signed framework cooperation agreements with the Tianjin Municipal Healthcare Security Administration and the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission to strengthen collaboration in policy research, data sharing, and the translation of research outcomes.
The Institute was officially unveiled. At the subsequent symposium, experts and scholars engaged in in-depth discussions on interdisciplinary innovation, think tank development, and policy support mechanisms in the context of Healthy China, further building consensus on the high-quality development of health economics and policy research.
